Farewell ‘06
Network, Personal Life December 31st, 2006Well, 2006 is finally coming to an end and I know that I have not posted a lot, but I have been incredibly busy. And I have to admit, I have been incredibly lazy as well. I guess I am still just a kid in certain things which is why I have not done anything. But, I have my New Years resolutions, I have plans and I have a lot of motivation to really get things started. I suppose the small break to just enjoy myself has really allowed me to work and do what I wanted. Playing the games that I got for Christmas is something that I really wanted to do and I will still probably do it during the remainder of my vacation. But, I really do want to get focused and that’ll start tomorrow.
What did I get for Christmas? I scored is what I can really say. I got quite a few shirts, quite a few more gift cards and two video games: Scarface and Sopranos. If you don’t know, I really am into criminal type games. I love them, but that’s because I have such an interest in the mafia. It’s where I really got into all of my writing. I joined a roleplay site and wrote for years on different mafia sites. I loved it, but being a college student who wants to make money online, I don’t have time to continue writing. Now, I’ve mentioned what I got for Liz a few times, but never actually told anyone. I got her a diamond necklace. I wanted to get her something that she would love and wear all the time, so I decided on getting her the necklace. Overall, it was a really enjoyable Christmas, but because of it, I have gotten no work done what so ever.
I’ve decided on sponsoring a site for someone I met. The way it is going to work is that I will get him a domain name and hosting and in return, he runs the site completely. He wants to make a forum sort of like the mafia ones that I have done in the past, but this one will be based around business. This is good because I think that most sites that are interested in business could link exchange with it. Basically, the point of it is to start off small and then try and build your company into a world wide corporation. You can either use deception and crime, such as hiring an assassin to kill a competitor, or you can do things the honest way and create exceptional products. I really like the idea which is why I sponsored it. I won’t do any work on it, but that’s alright. I will use my knowledge in getting traffic and they will use their knowledge in creating good roleplay games. I get all the profits from the site, so it really benefits me. While the site is worked on, we are starting a form of viral marketing, so I am really anxious to get it started. If you run some form of business site and want to link exchange, let me know.
Scifreak averages about 4.3 visits a day, but that’s because I have neglected it completely. The weird thing, though, is that knowing that many people come each day to read the blog really makes me feel good. I like knowing people are interested in what scientific things I am interested in. It really is great and that is something I like. Obviously, I can’t wait to get the money made, but the truth is, knowing someone comes back every day to read my blog is really an encouragement and I know that I owe my readers for reading it and I shouldn’t stop posting. And I won’t. Starting tomorrow, I will really get to work on the stuff. And I really do like it none the less.
Anyways…I hope you are all having an amazing New Years Eve. I hope you all spend it with those you love and I am sorry for not posting in a long time. I want to wish a happy New Years to my blog rollers, so Happy New Years to you all! I want to wish Lithman a happy New Years. He deserves it, especially with all the work he’s done for me, helping me get started and that. So, I owe him and a lot of other people for the growth of my site. Happy New Year everyone!
It takes a lot out of me to write these blog posts. Buy me a beer to cool me off!
