Microsoft Going to Buy Yahoo!

News 1 Comment »

What do you do when you are used to being one of the greatest companies when it comes to computers and then a smaller company appears and slaps you around so many times, they become the greatest company? What do you do? You try and fight back. Google has taken the lead as one of the best search engines and the best ad providing products (adwords and asense). Google’s search engine is brilliant and provides amazing results. So, what now? According to this article that I read, Microsoft is in the market to purchase Yahoo!

Microsoft is getting slapped around. They are being pushed around and they want to try and take control again. Add to the fact that their search engine blows beyond belief and you will see that it is time for them to try and make some changes. Their ‘monopoly’ over the world is coming to an end and if they want to try and keep control, they’ll need to step up. But can Microsoft handle it? The market cap for Yahoo! is $44 billion. For Microsoft, it is $290 billion. So, what exactly is Microsoft going to do? It would cost them a considerable amount of money to buy it. Would this help them, though?

Microsoft appears to be doing what a lot of tacticians do when they are getting severely beat. Sometimes, when you’re backed in a corner, there is little you can do but attack. Sometimes, the best defense is a great offense. Could this be Microsoft’s way of turning around and attacking the right way? Who knows. But, if this acquisition happens, I do think there will be changes. Adsense and the hybrid Adcenter/Yahoo Ads Program will definitely be beating at each other a lot more. Will publishers do better in the end? Let’s hope so! I wonder what is going to come from this brilliant deal. Hmm…

Your Favorite Post - A Link Train

News No Comments »

The new thing in the blog world is link trains. There have been many of them, but I have only recently done two of them. The first one was an effort to increase technorati ratings. That worked out wonderfully. The second one was an effort to increase our community sizes for mybloglog. And that, as well, worked out wonderfully. Now what I want to do is focus on deep linking. I want to make it so that when someone does come to your blog, they are coming to see one of your favorite posts. So, read the rules and let’s get this started, eh?

***Start Copying Here***

1. Write your own little paragraph that describes what the train is about linking back to the homepage of the blog that you found the train from.

2. Copy and paste every link in the “Original Links” section to your own post. Remember to link to the homepage as well as their favorite link. Make the anchor text for the favorite link the title that they provided.

3. Add your favorite to the “Original Links” as well as your homepage link.

4. Link to three new people in “New Links”. You don’t pick their favorite post, but you link to their homepage and they will link to it.

5. Have fun and watch the back links come in!

This could really help us all get some good link backs from different blogs. Good luck everyone and let’s try and get this large!

Agloco Viewbar to Appear Soon

News No Comments »

According to the people at AGLOCO, the viewbar that makes everyone money is going to be coming out in the next few days. I am not entirely sure if they will follow through with it this time, but this time, they actually sent out an e-mail rather than posting on the blog. In my opinion, this is one way for us to really believe that it might be coming out in the next few days. What does this mean for everyone that has not signed up for AGLOCO? It means that you only have a few days left where there is not complete competition to get people. Every day that you waist not trying to build your network is one fewer day that you have to get a lot of people. So, definitely sign up!

If you don’t know what AGLOCO is, that’s really alright. Just click read my article Agloco - A new way to make money. It will explain what AGLOCO is and how you can start to make some money. My network is still relatively small, but it is growing. Join under mine if you haven’t already signed up and let’s try and really make some money! The plan for the viewbar is that it will be released every day to 50,000 new people based on when they signed up. I was one of the first people to sign up, so I should definitely see the viewbar in the next few days. Check out AGLOCO and remember that even free is sometimes too expensive.

Increasing Technorati The Cooperative Way!

News 3 Comments »

Alright everyone! We’re all webmasters here and it’s very important for webmasters, in my opinion, to stick together and try and help each other grow. I was introduced to this new link train idea and I couldn’t say no to trying it out. It’s a method to hopefully try and increase the technorati of all of us as well as potentially our PRs. Remember to link back to the person that you found this in. I found it from David Lithman. Just read the rules below and let’s get this show on the road!

***Start Copying Here:***

Here are the rules:

1) Write a short introduction paragraph about what how you found the list and include a link to the blog that referred you to the list.

2) COPY the Rules and ENTIRE List below and post it to your blog. To avoid duplicate content and increase the amount of keywords your site can accessible for, go ahead and change the titles of the blog. Just don’t change the links of the blog.

3) Take “My New Faves” and move them into the “The Original Faves” list.

4) Add 3 Blogs that you’ve just added to your Technorati Favorites to the “My New Faves” section. Remember to also add the “Fave Me” link next to your new blogs (i.e. http://technorati.com/faves?sub=addfavbtn&add=http://www.yourfavesdomain.com)

5) Add Everyone on this list to your Technorati Favorites List by clicking on “Fave the Site.” Those who want good kharma will fave you back. If not, you will for sure get the benefits of faves from the bloggers who continue this list after you.

Viacom is Sueing Google

News 1 Comment »

This blog post is proudly sponsored by: SEO Directory.

It appears that Viacom is finally attacking Google for YouTube. We’ve all been waiting for something like this to happen and let me tell you, it is definitely happening hard now. Viacom has decided that they are going to sue Google for one BILLION dollars for copyright problems. All of this content on YouTube is supposedly causing Viacom a ‘loss in profits.’ While I disagree, they are entitled to sue and they are going against one of the biggest online companies. It’ll be interesting to see what happens. Is it really Google’s fault about all of this? How can they police all of this illegal content? Google bought YouTube for over a billion dollars and it appears that it’ll really be costing them over two billion dollars.

Let’s think about something, though. What will the judge say? “Pay them a billion dollars, GOOGLE!” Or…Will the judge take a different approach to it? Will he say, “Google, you have six months to somehow clean YouTube up and get the content off of the site.” How is Google going to respond to all of this? Maybe we’ll see an agreement come from this that will give Viacom more than a billion dollars, but also not cost Google a billion dollars. It’ll be interesting to see what the future holds for this. Read the article here at CNN.

Review My Blog & Get a Backlink and Money

News 6 Comments »

I have decided that it is too good a method of link baiting to just sit here and watch other bloggers do it. So, I have decided that I am going to offer all my readers the chance to get some link backs in return for a review to my blog. Now, I know that John Chow does this as well as a few other large bloggers. However, I do think that this could help out a lot of the smaller bloggers that are really looking to get going. Only a few months ago, I was a nobody, but slowly and surely, I have acquired a collection of readers and I can really say that the blog is growing. People pay me $5.00 a day for a link in one of my posts, but I am offering them to you for FREE if you post a review about my site.

Here is how it’ll work. You write a review that is at least two hundred words long about this site. You write an honest review, whether it is good or bad, and you post it on your site. You include a link to my homepage as well as a link to THIS post. E-mail me the URL to the review to: mafiamaster922@gmail.com Once I have read it, I will add you to a list. Once I have acquired ten reviews, I will post up your link along with everyone else that has posted.

Now, where does the money come into play? Every month, I am going to sit down and read over my favorite blog posts. I’ll read over the reviews and pick three lucky people. The top three reviews will win money. First prize will win $25.00. Second prize will win $15.00. Third prize will win $10.00. So basically, everyone month, I will give out $50.00 in prizes to the top three reviews. There is no restriction on the number of readers you have or your PR. That will not have any say over who wins. The BEST review wins, simple as that. But, since there are three prizes, you have the chance to win some easy money. At the end of the month, I will pick the top three and send the winners the money via paypal.

So, all I need in the e-mail to mafiamaster922@gmail.com including the following information:

URL to the review

Paypal Address

I will send the three winners the money at random and then once a day has gone by, announce them on here with a SECOND link back. Wow, I am feeling generous! So, what is stopping you all from posting some reviews?! Go get er done! :-p

Agloco is Going Well

News 2 Comments »

This blog post is sponsored by: Understanding Osteoporosis, a site that offers great information on osteoporosis.

I haven’t written about Agloco in a while, but I thought that I would mention it to everyone and for those that have not signed up for it, I’ll give you a little run down about what exactly it is and why everyone is joining. So, first I’ll tell you how I am doing and then give those new readers some information on Agloco. I have really started doing well with Agloco. I only have five direct referrals, which I am not overly excited about. However, I must have some good referrers because all five of those have brought in eighteen people. That is pretty nice and while there are other people that have a load more, I really am excited about it. It could give me some small amounts of money each month, but I hope to make more.

Now, for those new readers. Agloco is A Global Company. That means we run it. And basically, you get paid to surf the web. By installing a viewbar, you get the potential of getting paid for up to five hours of web surfing a month. Why is this good? Because most people surf the web for longer than five hours a month, you really could get some money just by having the viewbar to run. Now, why am I typing this post now rather than when the viewbar becomes available? There are loads of people signed up for the site, but there are many more to get signed up. However, once the viewbar is available and people SEE that there is money to be made, getting members will be a lot harder.

You get paid to surf the web, you get money when the people you refer surf the web and when their people surf the web and down a few levels. So, basically, if you refer two people and each of your two people refer two people and each of those people refer two people and so on and so forth, you could make quite a bit of money. And the best part is that you have the potential to refer loads of members. However, I implore you to sign up before the viewbar becomes available. If you sign up too late, your chances of building a large network of referrals will diminish significantly. Remember, the early bird gets it all. Sign up for Agloco before the viewbar comes out and build your network to the top! Thanks!

Registerfly is No More

News 1 Comment »

This blog post is proudly sponsored by: Spy Review, a site hat has all this awesome information about different spy gadgets.  Definitely a site to check out, I recommend it.

A lot of people have complained about the problems with Registerfly and because of this, their supplier, Enom, has decided that their time has come. Because of this, a lot of people might lose out on their domain names.  You see, while you might have registered your domain name via Registerfly, the actual registration of the domain takes place up the line at Enom.  And since Registerfly has been giving a lot of problems to their clients and this has an effect on Enom, the company has decided to let them go.

If you have a domain name that is registered at Registerfly, contact Enom and the domain can be easily transfered to an Enom account.  However, if you wait too long, the domain names might be lost forever and you’ll have to re-register them, risking losing them for good.  I highly advise anyone that uses Registerfly to get their domain names over to Enom right away!  Good luck everyone!
