Yeah, I got second place on the webmaster forum contest over at 9mb.com. With that came $50.00 and a month of advertising on the forum. Naturally, I will be using it to rank better for the term make money on Dorm Earning. I also hope that with this advertising, more traffic might flow towards the site. But, I am also very interested in the fact that I got $50.00. This is going to help more than people might think.

I recently bid on a small site about arthritis. Now, my bid was only $40.00 and I probably did not win, but by having this extra money, what it gives me is the opportunity to collect some rather inexpensive content sites. That’s one thing that I have realized. They are becoming a hell of a lot cheaper on digital point. Now, I know that I have not worked that much on women of rock, but I know that it’ll grow over time and that is what matters most. As I continue to rank for certain keywords, more search engine traffic will come. And if worse comes to worse, I’ll sell it.

Now…I have a lot of work to do if my small time sites are ever going to start getting larger. It’s obvious that link bait does not work on this blog and it doesn’t work on Dorm Earning. So, I have to figure out other ways to increase the technorati, increase my search engine rankings, and get more traffic. That’ll require some heavy working, but my theory is that if I can continue mentioning my sites in my blog posts, it might help. When I write informational articles, I figure if I use my sites as examples, I might start getting more and more traffic. And we all know traffic is key. But, a lot of growth might occur thanks to the $50.00 I won. For me, I make every last dollar count!
