The new thing in the blog world is link trains. There have been many of them, but I have only recently done two of them. The first one was an effort to increase technorati ratings. That worked out wonderfully. The second one was an effort to increase our community sizes for mybloglog. And that, as well, worked out wonderfully. Now what I want to do is focus on deep linking. I want to make it so that when someone does come to your blog, they are coming to see one of your favorite posts. So, read the rules and let’s get this started, eh?
***Start Copying Here***
1. Write your own little paragraph that describes what the train is about linking back to the homepage of the blog that you found the train from.
2. Copy and paste every link in the “Original Links” section to your own post. Remember to link to the homepage as well as their favorite link. Make the anchor text for the favorite link the title that they provided.
3. Add your favorite to the “Original Links” as well as your homepage link.
4. Link to three new people in “New Links”. You don’t pick their favorite post, but you link to their homepage and they will link to it.
5. Have fun and watch the back links come in!

This could really help us all get some good link backs from different blogs. Good luck everyone and let’s try and get this large!

According to the people at AGLOCO, the viewbar that makes everyone money is going to be coming out in the next few days. I am not entirely sure if they will follow through with it this time, but this time, they actually sent out an e-mail rather than posting on the blog. In my opinion, this is one way for us to really believe that it might be coming out in the next few days. What does this mean for everyone that has not signed up for AGLOCO? It means that you only have a few days left where there is not complete competition to get people. Every day that you waist not trying to build your network is one fewer day that you have to get a lot of people. So, definitely sign up!
If you don’t know what AGLOCO is, that’s really alright. Just click read my article Agloco - A new way to make money. It will explain what AGLOCO is and how you can start to make some money. My network is still relatively small, but it is growing. Join under mine if you haven’t already signed up and let’s try and really make some money! The plan for the viewbar is that it will be released every day to 50,000 new people based on when they signed up. I was one of the first people to sign up, so I should definitely see the viewbar in the next few days. Check out AGLOCO and remember that even free is sometimes too expensive.

So, as you can see, there is another attempt to increase the links to our site as well as get more people in our community. Fortunately for me, I have made some friends while doing this blog and one of those is Andreas Bard. Although I had some slight upset feelings about getting rid of SciFreak, I thought about it for a short while and I really do think that it was a good move. You might be wondering why. Why would I want to get rid of one of my better sites? The reason behind that is because it was taking too much of my time. I have some ideas for some small content sites, but I can’t make them right now without any start up money. The truth is, my paypal was nearly empty and I needed the cash. Now I have it. I can take the money and invest it in some of the ideas that I do have. Some of them might be science and some of them might not be. We’ll have to see what I decide to do. I might need to pick topics that get more search engine traffic in comparison to the whole Genetics site that I had run.
Anyways…I am sure you are wondering how much money I made on the blog. I sold the blog for $350. I was hoping for $400, but I really think that selling it for $350 was a very good move. I can use the money for different things and that is what the plan is. I am going to try and build the traffic to my arcade site because it is making some nice money with the adversal. I am pleased with it in comparison to Adbrite. Sure, it is only making about ten cents a day, but that is still nice and it will only increase as the days go by and I get more traffic. That’s why I am beginning to devote a little more energy into building it. I would like to start making a dollar or more a day from adversal. Who knows? Anyways…I better get some food. I was in a play tonight, so I am starving. Take care!

This blog post is a very basic one that just tells everyone that I am sorry for not posting today. I, unfortunately, have a very big Chemistry test on Thursday that is necessary for my grade, so that is why I was unable to post. I just wanted to say that I will get back into the grove of good posts once this week is over. What a week from hell! My play opens on Friday and I have tests everywhere. Welcome to the last few weeks of school!
The bidding on SciFreak is still at $200, but I am very pleased with that. DormEarning.com is doing very good as well. I am finding time to update everyday and I am getting some small amounts of traffic. I have even got some clicks from adsense. Overall, things are looking up. But, this test is getting in the way from my earning, but school must come first! Wish me luck everyone!

I know that it is probably a shock for a lot of my readers here to know that I am currently selling my prized science blog. And you are probably wondering why I would ever think about selling the blog. I am going to be completely honest with you…It became almost tedious to continue updating the blog. Unlike this blog and my other blog, scifreak really required me to do research. I am great at science, but it required research. And I think with my studies and the such, I didn’t have time to do that small amount of research required. This blog doesn’t require me to do research because all of the stuff just comes from mind. This blog post just came from mind. It was simple. For SciFreak, that wasn’t the case.
I am aiming for four hundred dollars, but for right now, I am currently at two hundred dollars. I’d love to get that up to four hundred, but if I can’t, I think I’d be happy with two hundred. That’d help with a lot of things and allow me to get some things set. Maybe I’d even get enough to buy a site that is already earing a small monthly amount. But, I am pretty against that right now, so it’d probably just be me creating content and growing the site before maybe flipping it. Who knows? Although I am selling SciFreak, Science Chats is going to become a big part of my time. I love science and that forum answers my questions rather than me having to do a lot of research. It’s fun. Anyways…To see the thread, click here.

You know, a lot of the things that I find interesting about blogging is that the rewards from it take a long time to come. It is hard to continue to post on a blog because the money is not there right away. I’ve been writing on this site for a few months now and I’ve made at most, three hundred dollars. Is that much? No, it’s not. However, I love to write on the blog and I know that it will get somewhere. Yet, here is the problem…Writing can become demoralizing. At the beginning, I had a great burst of energy…And then it began to deteriorate because I wasn’t making any money or anything…And then suddenly, this month, it’s exploded! It really has worked amazingly.
I update every single day now because I know that the real way to make money is to keep posting. Here’s the thing that works…A blog can always make money if you update continuously. However, the great thing about a blog is that it can make money on posts that are five months old because of search engines. Yet, the clicks are sometimes not there. And that is what demoralizes a lot of bloggers. But, I am going to tell you right now that if you keep at it, you will see a reward. I am not making much money, but every click is worth ten posts from me because I find that I am earning. And as time goes on, more money will be made. Don’t give up blogging because you’re not getting money. This is not a get rich scheme, but blogging can make you money if you try. Good luck!

I never expected Zero to Med to make very much money, if any, from Adsense because most of my readers are so used to the fact that there are ads everywhere and just don’t click. I am the same way…I just never click on the ads because there is no real reason to. Most of the ads are the ones where it says, “Make millions a year by clicking here.” Now, for someone that is not very into the internet business, seeing an ad like that is crazy and they click on it. But, like I said, most of the readers on this blog are people that make their money from Adsense, so they rarely click on the ads. However, that isn’t the case on this blog.
I’ve had a total of five clicks that have made me a dollar. This is a 10th of my earnings for the month (Yeah, I am still poor), but this shows that the site is making money. Five different clicks and I’ve made money off of them. It’s really interesting to see that I can make money from my blog. So, Adsense is earning. The unfortunate thing is that Kontera is not making any money, but I suppose that’ll change as time goes on. Maybe as the site gets more and more traffic from my continuous posting, I will start to get more clicks from Adsense and Kontera. I don’t know though…One can only hope.
So, as you can see, Zero to Med is getting somewhere. Sure, it’s not making a load of cash like John Chow, but it is making some money. It is going somewhere and that is a good thing. Maybe as I continue to post on it, I’ll get to see ten dollars a month by June. That’d make me happy. Just ten dollars a month from this blog would be an awesome thing. But, maybe we’ll see more with a mix of Kontera and Adsense. And maybe I’ll add something else to it to increase profits even more. One can only hope!

So, I remember in a series of posts ago, I said that I was going to keep the network small and then build those sites and that is still the plan. At least, that’s the plan with the sites that I intend to touch and care about. I began to ponder the thought of creating some small sites whose sole purpose is to just get more adsense clicks. What I mean is that if I were to create a series of mini-sites that I was able to get some increased traffic to, I might be able to make some more money with Adsense. We’re not talking hundreds and hundreds of dollars a month from it, but creating some aggressive adsense sites might bring a higher return for me.
These sites won’t be the type of sites that I mention in posts on my blog. Any site that I mention on this site, the intention is really for me to try and make it big. Whatever site I mention on this blog I will work on. I might say, “I made a new site tonight,” but that’ll be that. I won’t go for the free back link or the potential traffic. There’s no point. I will let search engines do their job and I will try and get one article on every new site dugg to get a nice traffic burst. And then, maybe once a month, I might sell one of them. Who knows? But, that is my little side plan. My main sites are still my main sites for a reason. But there’s the battle plan.

I have to say, one of the best things I could have done recently was set up a to-do list. Something about it is really getting things rolling for me and I have pumped out some ideas that really might turn into some successful money making schemes. Who knows? Maybe by the time summer comes, I’ll have enough money to really enjoy my vacation to Virginia and even have money to get some other things set up. So, I am sure you are curious about some of the things that really need to get done, at least in my opinion, so I’ll list them for you. I am anxious, just so you know, but I really think this could help turn things around for me and the sites that I run.
1. One of my big things right now is to increase the traffic to my Arcade Site. Since I am running adversal on it, I am hoping that by getting more and more traffic to it, I can increase the earnings that way. Sure, I might not get many Adsense clicks, but I am used to that. Having Adversal running, trying to make me a little extra money on the side is really beneficial.
2. Figure out a new link bait method for this site is something I have been pondering. After the technorati link exchange, I was really quite anxious to try and get some other ways to increase the links some more. Since I want to write reviews, having a higher PR and a better technorati ranking will only increase things for me. So, I am thinking hard about that.
3. Do some content writing…I know that I retired myself from doing content writing for other people because I wanted to make the money myself on my websites. Unfortunately, I think that right now, if I were to write a few articles every single day, I could walk away making a good enough income every single month that I would be able to afford whatever I needed. So long as I also focused on my websites, things would be good.
These are just three of the things that I want to get done as soon as possible. I have numerous other ones, but they are more secretive ones that I might mention in the future. But, for now, the above three are just a few of the ideas that I have running through my mind. If anyone has any link bait techniques, feel free to leave a comment and I’ll e-mail you. I have thought about maybe giving something away, but I am not sure if that’ll work. Either way, we’ll see how things go.
