Today I decided that I was going to think about maybe buying a site or two.  I haven’t done it yet, but I do think that if all goes according to plan, I will have three sites in my ‘network’ in the next few days.  It won’t be unique content, but since it’s pretty inexpensive for three sites that auto-update from RSS feeds, then I don’t see why going along with it is a bad idea.  It might not get as much respect from the search engines as the unique content, but people will search it and the domains are pretty nice.  Best part is that it has to do with biology and as an undergrad, I am a biology major.  The topics are pretty interesting, so I can only hope that I can get the sites.

On DigitalPoint, there is this guy that, with the help of his wife, creates complete websites for people.  They’re forty five dollars for twelve 300 word articles and a complete design.  It might seem like a lot of money, but in honest, it’s not that bad.  If I had a larger amount of money to invest, I could get 10 sites for only 300 dollars.  That’s 30 dollars for a complete design and 12 unique articles.  That could really help out my network and it’d be ideal for the growth of it.  Would it make me a lot of money?  Maybe.  I hope that I can pick topics that interest people and that should make for some good sites.

I came to a conclusion today as I was leaving a math review (which, mind you, I finally understand limits and derivatives).  I was always writing on scrap pieces of paper with all my ideas.  But then I would lose the ideas and that would not be good.  Well, I finally went to the campus store and I bought a notebook.  It was two bucks, which is not that bad I guess, but it’ll definitely prove to be useful.  All of my ideas into one book will be a lot better than all my ideas on random scraps of paper.  I highly recommend it to people who are trying to get a bunch of ideas collected into one source.  It’s easy to look back to and lets you know where everything is when you need it.  So, I recommend for every new and old webmaster, that you buy a notebook and carry it around with you so you can write ideas into it when you least expect it.

Stay tuned for information on whether or not I buy the sites.  I’ll be adding the links to the sidebar so that people can see just what sites I own.  Keep reading my blog and hopefully I can finally see some potential growth with my goal from zero to med.  See you around!

It takes a lot out of me to write these blog posts. Buy me a beer to cool me off!
